Job Description
A leading healthcare system in New Hampshire is seeking an experienced and motivated Nurse Manager to oversee its Operating Room department. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled perioperative leader to guide a high-performing surgical services team within a respected patient-centered health system.
About the Role
The Operating Room Nurse Manager is responsible for providing strategic leadership operational oversight and clinical expertise within the OR. This role ensures the delivery of safe efficient and high-quality surgical care while supporting staff development regulatory compliance and operational excellence. The Nurse Manager plays a critical role in fostering a collaborative culture and driving continuous improvement within the perioperative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction for daily operations within the Operating Room ensuring high-quality patient care and adherence to evidence-based practice.
- Develop staffing plans supervise clinical staff and support ongoing professional development.
- Collaborate with surgeons anesthesia providers and interdisciplinary teams to enhance workflow communication and patient outcomes.
- Oversee scheduling resource allocation and throughput to optimize OR efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory safety and infection prevention standards.
- Manage departmental performance improvement initiatives and support organizational quality goals.
- Participate in budget planning and assist with fiscal oversight of perioperative services.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred
- Active RN license
- At least 3 years of OR experience required including circulating/scrub experience
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred
