Job Summary
Heres What You Need
Associates Degree in Applied Science Required OR
Completion of an accredited program in cardiovascular technology (Must obtain RCIS within 6 months of hire) Required OR
High School Diploma or Equivalent (Plus 2 years of work experience in invasive cardiology) Required
1 yearvascular or cardiac angiography Preferred OR
2 yearsexperience required if only high school diploma Required
Cath lab experience for at least 2 years highly preferred IR experience preferred
Must be able to operate Xray equipment
ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Upon Hire Required
GMRT General Medical Radiologic Technologist (If ARRT only) Upon Hire Preferred
RCIS Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (Obtain within 6 months if graduate from Cardiovascular Accredited Program) Required
LMRT Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist (If RCIS only) Upon Hire Preferred
RCES Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (For EP labs only) Upon Hire Required
BCLS Basic Cardiac Life Support (Prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly) Required
ACLS- (within 90 days of hire) Required
