This is a unique opportunity to work with a dynamic team on sophisticated and high-impact projects involving land use zoning development and related litigation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise and represent clients in complex real estate transactions including acquisitions sales leasing financing and development.
- Manage land use and zoning matters such as subdivisions rezoning variances conditional use permits and related appeals.
- Represent clients before municipal and zoning boards as well as in administrative and court proceedings when necessary.
- Draft review and negotiate contracts and legal documents including purchase agreements leases and development agreements.
- Conduct legal research and develop strategic solutions for land use and real estate challenges.
- Collaborate with attorneys and professionals across practice groups to deliver high-quality client-focused service.
- Stay abreast of evolving laws and regulations impacting real estate and land use in New York.
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school; active membership in the New York Bar.
- 4 years of real estate law experience with an emphasis on land use and zoning.
- Background in real estate litigation is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to handle complex real estate matters independently.
- Exceptional research writing and oral advocacy skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and project management abilities.
- A collaborative mindset and client-first approach.
- A portable book of business is preferred and will be discussed confidentially.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive base salary: $200000 $250000 commensurate with experience
