Empowering Instabees Logistics Through Production-Grade Predictive Modeling
About the Role
The Instabee Predictions team is at the heart of optimizing our logistics and operations. We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated (Senior) Data Scientist / Machine Learning Engineer to join our small but critical team in Oslo.
You will follow an end-to-end approach taking complex data problems from raw input to direct business impact. This role is essential for replacing a crucial team member ensuring we maintain our ability to leverage production-grade ML models and advanced predictive techniques to inform critical decision-making across the organization.
Clarification: ML Engineering Focus
This is a highly technical role focused on developing and deploying production-ready Machine Learning models. If your primary background is in Business Intelligence (BI) ETL development or Data Platform architecture this is likely not the right fit. Your core responsibility will be the design development and deployment of complex ML models that solve sophisticated logistical and operational challenges.
What You Will Do (Responsibilities)
- Build Production-Grade ML Solutions: Architect develop validate and deploy end-to-end Machine Learning models into our production environment to generate reliable real-time forecasts.
- Data-Driven Model Development: Conduct sophisticated data analysis and feature engineering as the foundation for your ML model development ensuring models are robust and performant.
- Deliver Strategic Insights: Interpret model results and translate them into invaluable actionable insights for stakeholders in areas such as route planning resource scheduling and personnel planning.
What You Will Bring (Requirements)
We are looking for a candidate with proven experience in Machine Learning Engineering:
- ML Engineering Expertise: Strong background in Machine Learning Engineering or advanced Data Science with proven experience building models in a production setting (e.g. using MLOps practices Python and relevant ML frameworks).
- Advanced Predictive Modeling: Deep understanding and hands-on experience in building and validating complex statistical/ML models with direct business impact going beyond standard linear methods.
- Full End-to-End Ownership: Ability to take a complex business problem and drive it through the entire ML lifecyclefrom data exploration and model development to deployment and monitoring.
