What we are looking for:

Were seeking a Development Enquiries Officer to join our dedicated Development team. This is a busy and rewarding role where youll play a key part in delivering high-quality planning and development advice to our customers.

What your day will look like:

  • Acting as first point of contact for customers and providing advice relating to Councils Planning Scheme planning policies the Planning Act 2016
  • Accepting and inputting applications including checking information and calculating fees
  • Performing administrative duties to ensure the team runs efficiently
  • Maintaining self help tools including the website and information sheets

What youll need for success:

  • Current QLD Class C Drivers Licence
  • 2 years relevant experience
  • Proven knowledge and demonstrated skills in interpreting and applying legislation relevant to planning and development.

Whats nice to have:

  • Degree or enrolment in a tertiary qualification in town planning that is recognised by the Planning Institute of Australia (PIA)
