Maintenance Refrigeration Technician

$35-37 hour (Direct Hire)

Responsibilities

• Operate maintain and repair ammonia and nitrogen refrigeration systems freezers air conditioning and chilled water systems for food production and storage.
• Perform preventive maintenance troubleshooting and repairs on mechanical and electrical systems.
• Keep logs analyze data for maintenance planning and inspect equipment using gauges and manuals.
• Order parts and maintain work areas according to GMP and safety standards.
• Collaborate with team members and assist in training as needed.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years industrial ammonia refrigeration maintenance experience required.
• Experience with nitrogen freezers and related equipment preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in refrigeration systems.
• Ammonia Operator Level I certification required; Level II preferred.

Essential Functions

• Remain stationary and position self to access equipment in tight spaces.
• Move transport and install equipment and parts up to 50 pounds.
• Detect and assess equipment conditions communicate and exchange accurate information.
