Astutis (part of Wilmington plc) is looking for a Head of Sales who can take ownership of our sales function and lead it into its next phase of growth. Youll be responsible for how our sales teams operate daytoday - from business development and account management through to partnerships and key clients. Your focus will be on driving consistent revenue improving sales performance and helping your teams succeed.


Youll work closely with marketing and service delivery to create a joinedup customer journey strengthen longterm client relationships and build a sales culture thats clear motivated and high performing.

Job purpose tasks and responsibilities

As our Head of Sales youll lead our sales teams and shape how we grow. Your focus will be on delivering strong sustinable revenue building a motivated and high-performing sales function and making sure sales works closely with marketing and service delivery to give clients a great experience.

Youll play a key part in achieving business goals and strengthening long-term client relationships across all sales channels.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Sales Leadership & Execution

  • Lead develop and mentor the sales team across several functions (outbound new business and account management)
  • Execute the sales strategy ensuring alignment with business goals
  • Set and monitor KPIs fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement

Performance Management & Sales Process Optimisation

  • Ensure best practices are followed and CRM (HubSpot) is maintained to a high standard
  • Optimise sales processes for lead qualification pipeline management and opportunity closing
  • Provide coaching and feedback to improve team performance engagement and revenue

Client Relationship & Account Management

  • Manage and grow key client relationships focusing on retention and long-term partnerships
  • Deliver tailored solutions to meet client needs and identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities
  • Collaborate with account managers and service delivery teams for smooth onboarding and client experience

Commercial Insights & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate sales forecasting and KPI reporting
  • Present insights on client needs market trends and performance to senior leadership
  • Provide input to the commercial roadmap based on sales feedback and market trends

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with marketing CRM and service delivery teams to align strategies
  • Provide feedback on campaigns client communications and service offerings
  • Ensure smooth execution across business units and strong inter-departmental collaboration

Whats the Most Challenging Thing About This Role

Balancing strategic leadership with the day-to-day management of a diverse sales team can be demanding. You will need to ensure alignment across multiple departments maintain high standards across all sales processes and consistently achieve ambitious growth targets requiring resilience adaptability and strong decision-making.

Essential and desirable capabilities

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • Proven track record in leading and scaling B2B sales teams across multiple functions such as outbound business development account management field sales and partnerships.
  • Demonstrated success developing and executing sales strategies that drive consistent scalable revenue growth.
  • Strong experience in sales performance management including setting monitoring and exceeding KPIs.
  • Confidence as a people leader with experience coaching and mentoring leaders to build highperformance teams.
  • Solid understanding of sales processes including lead qualification pipeline management and deal closure.
  • Strong CRM capability with handson experience maintaining high data standards and using HubSpot (or similar) for forecasting and reporting.
  • Experience building and managing longterm client relationships including key and strategic accounts.
  • Ability to work crossfunctionally with marketing CRM and service delivery teams.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to interpret sales data and translate insights into actions.
  • Confidence presenting sales performance forecasts and commercial insights to senior stakeholders.
  • A coaching mindset with experience improving conversion engagement and revenue outcomes.

To be successful in this role it would be great if you have:

  • Sales leadership experience in a relevant or aligned sector.
  • Experience scaling sales teams in a high-growth or change environment.
  • A strong commercial mindset with the ability to identify new revenue opportunities and partnerships.
  • Exposure to complex or multistakeholder sales cycles longer deal cycles or larger deal values.
  • Experience integrating sales activity with marketing automation or customer success platforms.
  • Familiarity with sales enablement tools analytics automation technologies.
