We are looking to welcome a skilled general maintenance person to lead the facilities upkeep in our modern purpose built care home in Peterborough.

The schedule is for 40 hours a week five days 8:00am - 4:00pm and the hourly rate is 14.26.

The role covers a wide range of tasks including:

Equipment repairs and servicing (vacuum cleaners wheelchairs etc.)

Minor electrical works - replacing light fittings etc.

Repairs and improvements to equipment and facilities

Plumbing repairs leaks blockages installing new sanitary ware etc. Refitting bathrooms

Installing & repairing fixtures and fittings (curtain tracks door furniture etc.)

Painting and decorating

Youll have worked in a care setting before with at least one year of experience and if you have class 1 business insurance on your vehicle for occasional work errands that would be an advantage.

In addition to being a hands-on role youll be responsible for ensuring our building is compliant with all necessary checks and audits so your organisational and administrative skills need to be excellent too.

Youll work closely with the home management care teams and residents so in addition to being a good administrator and an excellent practical person a trainer and supporter to the team youll enjoy being around people and working as part of a team.
