Deliver engaging industry-relevant training sessions specifically focused on Room Service operations aligned with TAFE NSW and Australian VET standards.
Train learners in key areas such as order taking tray setup trolley service in-room dining etiquette guest communication upselling techniques and service protocols.
Supervise and mentor students during practical Room Service simulations ensuring strong skill development in food delivery sequence of service hygiene and safety compliance.
Provide continuous feedback to support learner growth and improve practical performance and employability skills.
Contribute to curriculum enhancement by sharing industry insights updated practices and international hospitality trends related to in-room dining operations.
Maintain high levels of learner engagement through interactive training methodologies demonstrations and hands-on practice.
Support academic processes such as assessment planning competency evaluation documentation and student development as required under the Australian VET framework.
Minimum Diploma in Hospitality Management or an equivalent/higher qualification in Hospitality or Hotel Management.
Minimum three (3) years of post-qualification industry experience in the hospitality sector.
Experience must specifically include Room Service / In-Room Dining operations in hotels or similar establishments.
Experience must have been gained within the last five (5) years to meet industry currency requirements.
Prior experience in training or delivering Vocational Education and Training (VET) programs is preferred.
Strong understanding of training delivery methodologies aligned with the Australian VET sector.
Candidates must either:
Hold a TAE qualification or
Be currently undertaking the TAE especially if they already possess other relevant teaching/training credentials.
Strong commitment to ongoing professional development to maintain industry relevance and training competency.
Willingness to stay updated with global hospitality standards especially those related to Room Service and guest experience.
Passion for teaching student engagement and practical skills training.
Exposure to or experience with international Room Service standards (TAFE/Australian VET preferred).
Excellent communication skills guest-service etiquette and ability to mentor diverse learners.
Strong presentation interpersonal and organizational skills with a learner-centric approach.
Training & Support:
Teaching certification and ongoing professional development will be provided.
Mentorship from senior faculty and structured OJT.
