The FP&A Specialist plays a pivotal role in driving data-informed decision-making across the organization by delivering accurate financial analysis robust forecasting and comprehensive planning support. This position is central to evaluating business performance against strategic objectives ensuring alignment with corporate goals and providing actionable insights to executive leadership. The specialist will lead the end-to-end budgeting forecasting and reporting processes enabling timely and accurate financial visibility across all business segments. By leveraging quantitative rigor and strategic thinking the FP&A Specialist ensures that financial plans reflect current realities and future ambitions supporting sustainable growth and operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business segments (FDS) to develop and consolidate annual and long-range revenue and direct cost budgets into a unified corporate budget ensuring timely submission into HFM and other relevant systems.
- Lead the monthly rolling forecast process including consolidation and validation of inputs from FDS for revenue and direct costs and deliver comprehensive P&L and OFCF reports via the Telecel Integrated Planning tool.
- Prepare the Management Performance Review Pack by conducting detailed variance analysis (actual vs. budget) delivering clear explanations for performance deviations and ensuring timely delivery for EXCO review.
- Spearhead the Month-End Close (MEC) process by leading the consolidation and review of the P&L in coordination with FDS and the Finance Leadership Team.
- Develop the Monthly CFO Pack delivering KPIs on revenue and direct costs to support strategic decision-making by the CFO and CEO.
- Design and maintain a Flash Analysis model to evaluate daily KPIs generating real-time insights to inform urgent business decisions.
- Support the quarterly preparation of the Financial Performance section of the Board of Directors Pack and assist in crafting key CEO messages.
- Deliver ad-hoc financial analysis including revenue-to-contribution margin assessments and respond promptly to strategic requests from senior leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Finance Accounting or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in FP&A financial planning or a similar analytical role
- Proven track record of leading budgeting forecasting and variance analysis processes
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel including complex modeling and data analysis
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to senior executives
- Proactive mindset with strong ownership and initiative
- Prior experience in the telecommunications industry is advantageous but not mandatory
