To provide consistent care guidance and support to children and young people with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and Learning Disabilities (LD) in a safe nurturing residential environment.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality child-centred care in line with individual care and behaviour management plans.
Build positive trusting relationships that encourage growth independence and resilience.
Support with daily routines including personal care education recreational activities and life skills.
Use de-escalation and positive behaviour management strategies to manage challenging behaviour.
Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people at all times.
Maintain accurate records reports and logs in line with Ofsted and organisational requirements.
Contribute to team meetings care planning and multi-agency working.
Help maintain a safe structured and homely environment.
Requirements
Experience working with children/young people with EBD and/or LD (desirable).
Knowledge of safeguarding child protection and behaviour management.
Compassionate resilient and able to remain calm in challenging situations.
Flexible to work shifts including evenings weekends and sleep-ins (where applicable).
Willingness to work towards Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (if not already held).
