As the Senior IT Compliance Specialist you will be the driving force behind the organizations adherence to global IT and security standards. Your core responsibilities will include:
- Audit Management: Taking full ownership of the preparation and coordination activities for external IT audits and regulatory inquiries.
- Gap Analysis & Remediation: Conducting thorough gap assessments against various IT compliance frameworks and regulatory requirements identifying areas for improvement and proposing effective remediation steps.
- Action Plan Execution: Leading and executing action plans to timely and completely address all IT audit findings and compliance issues.
- Policy & Documentation: Supporting the development and ongoing maintenance of IT and security policies and procedures ensuring alignment with global regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Expert Guidance: Serving as the subject-matter expert on IT compliance requirements effectively translating complex regulatory language into practical executable implementation plans for various technical teams.
- Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate comprehensive and up-to-date documentation across all IT compliance activities.
Essential Qualifications
- Communication: Business-level proficiency in English (equivalent to CEFR B2 or above) is required for effective global collaboration.
- Experience: A minimum of 4 years of direct experience in IT Compliance IT Audit or closely related domains.
- Core Knowledge: Solid understanding of IT risk management principles and standard IT audit processes.
- Technical Skills: Proven hands-on experience conducting compliance gap assessments and formulating comprehensive remediation plans.
- Strategic Compliance: Strong knowledge of major IT compliance frameworks and international regulatory environments.
- Collaboration: Excellent communication interpersonal and presentation skills for effective cross-team collaboration and stakeholder management.
- Work Ethic: Highly analytical mindset with strong attention to detail coupled with the ability to work independently and manage complex compliance tasks with minimal oversight.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Industry Background: Prior experience within the FinTech sector or another highly regulated industry (e.g. finance healthcare).
- Specific Frameworks: Familiarity with key regulatory frameworks such as DORA and PCI DSS.
- Resilience Planning: Experience supporting or actively participating in Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity (BC) testing initiatives.
