Job Description & Summary

A career in our growing Merger and Acquisition Tax practice within our Tax Line of service will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients in various industries to meet and manage their tax obligations across unique but ever-changing tax specialties. Youll advise clients on their local and overseas tax affairs while acting as a strategic consultant related to business analysis and M&A tax solutions.



Our team helps our clients with various aspects of merger and acquisition transactions such as transaction structuring tax due diligence internal reorganizations and post-acquisition integration. As part of our team youll have opportunities to assist with assessing historical tax risks of potential targets analyzing proposed transactions for unusual tax risks or undetermined tax benefits advising clients on tax-efficient restructurings and performing financial analysis / modeling to assess the tax consequences of specific transactions.

As a Mergers and Acquisitions Tax Manager youll work as part of a team of problem solvers helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this management level include but are not limited to:

  • Manage a variety of viewpoints to build consensus and create positive outcomes for all parties.

  • Simplify complex messages highlighting and summarizing key points.

  • Uphold the firms code of ethics and business conduct.

Experience and skills youll use to solve

  • A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences developing and coaching diverse teams and ensuring diverse perspectives are heard

  • Ability to work in a multitasked fast-paced and changing environment

  • Ability to think creatively solve complex problems determine innovative solutions and communicate with impact

  • Superior communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills that allow you to thrive in a team environment

  • Proven and practical experience in M&A Tax

  • Experience in corporate and/or international tax research Cross-border transactions/or consulting and compliance in a professional services firm industry government agency or law firm is an asset

  • A commitment to providing excellent client service and pride in delivering top quality work.

  • CPA CA designation is an asset

PwC BC Region Pay Range Information

The salary range* for this position is $82300 - $137000 plus individuals may be eligible for an annual bonus payment. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon your skills experience qualifications and geographic location.

*Please note that the salary range for this position is reflected for our British Columbia region. Given our national recruiting approach we recruit (and may hire) in other regions and therefore the salary range may differ depending on the work location. PwC is committed to competitive compensation and sharing salary ranges in accordance with applicable pay transparency legislation as they arise.
