Job Summary
Team JAS is seeking a skilled and motivated PMA Production Technician to join our growing this role the successful candidate will support the manufacturing and repair of aviation components by performing detailed assembly testing and inspection tasks in alignment with established production schedules and stringent quality standards. This position is critical to maintaining efficient operations supporting continuous improvement initiatives and collaborating with cross-functional teams to uphold the high quality and reliability our customers expect.

Primary Responsibilities
The ideal candidate for the PMA Production Technician role at Team JAS Inc. is a skilled detail-oriented professional with experience assembling and testing mechanical and electromechanical aviation components in a precision-driven environment. They are knowledgeable in FAA regulations and can interpret technical blueprints schematics and engineering drawings to complete tasks accurately while maintaining high-quality standards.
The candidate is proficient with specialized hand and power tools and has experience using measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers for inspection and quality control. They are capable of performing functional tests identifying issues and troubleshooting defects to ensure product reliability. Familiarity with FAA Part 21 and PMA processes is a strong plus reflecting a solid understanding of regulatory compliance. They also maintain accurate computer-based records of assembly steps test results and materials used.
Key soft skills include strong attention to detail a proactive problem-solving approach and a dependable work ethic that supports meeting deadlines without sacrificing quality. Primary Responsibilities
- Assemble mechanical pneumatic hydraulic and electromechanical aviation components using blueprints schematics and work instructions.
- Conduct mechanical pneumatic hydraulic and electrical tests on assembled products to verify performance and identify defects.
- Utilize hand tools power tools specialized equipment and 3D printers to support assembly testing and R&D efforts.
- Maintain inspection tools gauges and special tools/fixtures to ensure accuracy and reliability. Validate that all tools and gauges are within current calibration prior to use.
- Pull from stock and verify piece parts for assembly and testing ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and company policies.
- Initiate purchase requisitions log store and properly dispose of hazardous materials per applicable regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of assembly operations test results material usage and hazardous material handling.
- Collaborate with Quality personnel Engineers Supply Chain Repair Station and other departments to support production processes.
- Assist with supplier quality activities including evaluating materials and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain.
- Identify opportunities to optimize manufacturing processes improve efficiency reduce costs while maintaining Team JAS quality standards.
- Resolve production-related issues promptly to minimize disruption to operations.
- Assist with the disassembly and analysis of components for new projects and R&D.
- Ensure adequate on-hand inventory of necessary consumables and safety equipment to support production activities.
- Follow all safety guidelines and comply with FAA regulations and company procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a related field is a plus.
- 1 years of experience in manufacturing assembly or related field; aviation industry experience is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings schematics and work instructions.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with hand and power tools.
- Attention to detail and ability to perform precise assembly work.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation. Competent in Microsoft Suite. Experience in Quantum Control ERP is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to wear a respirator.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team environment.
- Knowledge of FAA regulations and quality control standards is a plus.
- Technical certification or an associate degree in a related field is preferred.
- Experience in manufacturing and Production (aviation experience preferred).
- Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work with a diverse group of individuals.
- Strong communication skills verbal & written.
