Since 1985 Kinsley Steel has been delivering unmatched quality steel on time and on budget. Our certified and highly-skilled teams specialize in structural steel design engineering detailing fabrication erection and retrofit to existing structural members.
The Material Handler is responsible for supporting the fabrication shop with various duties such as loading and unloading steel from trucks transferring steel to production table and using a forklift as needed.
DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate forklift as needed
- Performs rigging work including jacking and staking
- Load and unload steel from trucks
- Load steel to transfer tables to feed production line
- Perform other duties as required to support the fabrication shop
REQUIREMENTS
- Must have experience with overhead cranes.
- Experience using and operating a forklift is required.
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by functioning and communicating in an effective manner with co-workers clients and supervisors.
- Works in compliance with Kinsleys safety policies and procedures.
- Must be flexible to work 2nd shift as well as overtime and Saturdays as needed.
- Basic math skills are required.
- Must be able to tolerate hot and cold working environment.
- Must be able to stand on feet for up to 10 hours.
- Must be organized and can multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
