Wound Nurse/IP LPN
Are you an experienced Wound Nurse looking for your next opportunity Tutera Senior Living & Health Care is looking for a dedicated and compassionate LPN to oversee both wound management and infection prevention in our community. What You Will Do
As the Wound Nurse/IP you will manage both the skin/wound-care program and the facilitys Infection Prevention and Control Program.
Wound Care Responsibilities:
Assess wounds and document condition progress and response to treatment
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Treat surgical sites pressure injuries ulcers and other skin issues
Monitor for infection and healing complications
Perform wound cleaning dressing changes and related treatments
Collaborate with nursing leadership therapy and providers
Infection Prevention Responsibilities:
Oversee the Infection Prevention and Control Program
Track and monitor infections and maintain infection logs
Conduct routine infection-control rounds
Provide staff education and competencies on infection-control practices
Ensure compliance with CDC CMS and state infection-control guidelines
Partner with the DON and Administrator on regulatory preparation and ongoing standards
What You Need
A passion for working with seniors
A positive flexible team-focused attitude
Current LPN license in the state of practice
Prior wound-care experience required
Minimum 1 year of experience providing specialized treatments in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting
Infection prevention experience preferred (training available)
Professional appearance and conduct
Strong written and verbal communication skills
