What awaits you/ Job Profile
| Join our dynamic team at BMWTechWorks India within the Cluster Digital Product Engineering where you will play a crucial role in the technical design of gearboxes for BMWs cutting-edge e-drive vehicles. As part of the CAD Unit you will be responsible for specifying checking and maintaining functional dimension chains (FMK) that ensure the highest quality and precision of gearbox components throughout all development milestones. Youll collaborate closely with CAD designers and BE team leaders applying your expertise in 1D and 3D dimensional tolerance analysis using both in-house tools and commercial software like CATIA V5 and 3DCS. Additionally you will maintain and further develop our self-developed 1D tolerance analysis tool based on MS Excel VBA and MS Access. This includes continuous enhancement of the tools functionality in cooperation with users and contributing to the vision of transferring the existing tool into a modern web-based solution with SQL database backend and user-friendly interface. Must have technical skill | - Proficiency in CATIA V5
- Solid knowledge of statistical dimensional tolerance analysis (including process capability indices Cp and Cpk)
- Understanding of geometric tolerances (form and position) and relevant industry norms
- Experience with MS Excel VBA and MS Access for tool application maintenance and development
- Familiarity with 1D and 3D tolerance chain analysis techniques
- Good programming skills and experience with MS Office and Windows environments

Good to have Technical skills | - Experience with 3DCS software as a CATIA V5 plugin
- Background in data management bill-of-materials handling and drawing data impact analysis
- Knowledge of production process alignment and quality control methods
- Experience or interest in web development SQL databases and UI design for software modernization
