Job Summary

LC State invites applications for the position of Graphic Designer.

Salary and rank based on experience and qualifications: $55000 - $60000

Degree Required: Bachelors degree in graphic design communications marketing or a related field from a regionally accredited college or university.

Required Qualifications:

1. At least three years of graphic design experience. A portfolio must be submitted as part of the application process.
2. Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
3. Demonstrated experience in preparing materials for publication in advertising print web video social media email and presentations.
4. Brand/logo management experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Professional marketing experience with expertise in brand management and development.
2. Photography experience.
3. Experience in higher education marketing and communications.
4. Experience with the development and execution of marketing campaigns including hands-on advertising tasks such as artwork creation copywriting placement and analytics.
5. Brand management experience including the development of logos and visual identity guides.
6. Experience developing web and social media content.
7. Experience with digital asset management.
8. Experience with motion graphics for video.
9. Experience with leveraging AI in creative services.
10. Experience with drones and an active drone pilot license.

Responsibilities:

The Graphic Designer reports to the director of Communications & Marketing and works closely alongside the director to support the graphic design publications photography and various content needs for the department and college as a whole especially as they relate to marketing and student recruitment. The positions content design skills and marketing ability and experience are leveraged to improve the colleges recruitment materials advertising content web content and social media content email marketing and strategic executive communications.

Essential functions include:
1. Create modify and organize graphics for the Communications & Marketing department and college overall.
2. Design key marketing and recruitment publications including materials for campus.
3. Support the departments efforts to stay up to date with current design trends and software including the use of AI.
4. Design and maintain key brand elements including primary and unit logos and marks.
5. Photography and digital asset management.
6. Other duties as assigned.

Additional duties include direct and indirect activities to support recruitment and retention of students.
