Civil 3D BIM Modeler (Wet Utilities) is responsible for developing accurate and coordinated 3D BIM models for external wet utility networks including potable water stormwater sewerage and irrigation systems. The role requires strong technical and software expertise to ensure models and drawings comply with project requirements BIM standards and authority regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain 3D models for wet utility networks using Autodesk Civil 3D Revit or other BIM software as required.
- Prepare detailed design drawings profiles cross-sections and layouts for water sewer stormwater and irrigation systems.
- Ensure model accuracy proper alignment and adherence to the BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and project standards.
- Perform clash detection and coordination with other disciplines (roads structural electrical landscape etc.) using Navisworks Manage.
- Produce construction drawings as-built drawings and quantity take-offs (QTOs) from BIM models.
- Maintain and manage BIM models in accordance with the required Level of Detail (LOD) and file naming conventions.
- Collaborate closely with engineers CAD technicians and other BIM modelers to ensure design consistency and coordination.
- Support BIM Coordinators in implementing company-wide standards and workflows.
- Incorporate updates design revisions and field markups accurately into BIM models.
- Ensure all deliverables meet local authority requirements (e.g. Ashghal DMT ADM Dubai Municipality etc.).
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in civil engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 4 to 6 years of experience in infrastructure and utilities projects.
- Proven experience in Autodesk Civil 3D (mandatory)
- Proficiency in Navisworks Manage and AutoCAD; experience with Revit or InfraWorks is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of wet utilities design including: Potable water network Sewerage systems Stormwater drainage Irrigation networks
- Knowledge of survey data integration surface modeling and corridor modeling in Civil 3D.
- Familiarity with BIM standards (ISO 19650 LOD BEP).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a collaborative multidisciplinary environment.
- Prior experience with infrastructure projects such as roads industrial areas or mixed-use developments.
