Highways Drainage Engineer

Sapphire Utility Solutions are seeking a Drainage Engineer to be based in Barrow-in-Furness to over see our new contract with Cumbria County Council.

You will be working closely with a HGV driver to clean along the highways around the region. Flexibility in regards to hours is a must as you will be required to stay overnight on occasions and work some weekends. No two days are the same here at Sapphire be prepared to learn and develop along the way!

You will be assisting with getting in and out of the cab to conduct work accordingly so a hands on approach is needed and a willingness to get stuck in; and you will be responsible for using a company tablet on a daily basis.

You will be outdoors for the majority of your working day - so a love for the great outdoors is also a must!

Mixture of days nights and working away! ESSENTIAL to consider this before applying.

Location:Barrow-in-Furness

Hours:50 hours per week (Monday to Friday 6am-4pm day shift and 5pm-3am night shift)

Salary:32500 per annum X1.5 for overtime

You will also be required to go on a standby rota and be flexible to the business needs in working nights and weekends. This is a full time position within a growing and busy department.

Responsibilities - but not limited to:

• To operate heavy machinery when needed
• Working as part of a team alongside a HGV driver
  
• Must be able to work Days Nights and on occasions work away from home.
• Usage of a tablet to record data
