We are seeking passionate and dedicated veterans to join us for the inaugural year of our Freeman Fellowship Program designed to empower individuals who have served in the military and support their transition to civilian career paths. This Fellowship offers an opportunity for veterans to apply their unique leadership strategic and problem-solving skills within our dynamic environment while gaining professional experience and valuable industry exposure.


Program Overview
Our Fellowship Program is a short-term paid opportunity that provides professional training and structured on-the-job experience with the opportunity to join full-time as an Operations or Freight Supervisor after successful completion of the program. Participants will experience a rotational schedule with the purpose of gaining exposure in multiple areas of the business within our Events & Exhibit Services division (E&ES) and receive specialized industry project management training.

Length: 15 Weeks
Commitment: 40 hours/ week schedule will vary

Operations Supervisor
Role Summary
It is the responsibility of the Supervisor Operations to lead supervise and support the operations team at show site and in the Branch Office while keeping job costs at the lowest possible level and maintaining quality and safety standards. Professionally interacts with customers team members and third-party vendor/partner representatives to provide the highest level of service excellence.

Responsibilities
Directly supervise team members. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Companys policies and applicable laws. Train team members appraise performance reward and discipline team members. Participate in the hiring and firing decisions as required. Address complaints and resolve problems with team members.
Plan organize and direct Operations Department activities to ensure 100% customer satisfaction.
Study production schedules estimate team member hour requirements for completion of job assignment and assign standby labor as necessary. Work with account executive to be sure their needs are met.
Schedule area foreman and place labor calls.
Schedule radios scooters scissor lifts boom lifts trailers trucks and forklifts as required.
Interpret specifications blueprints and job orders to team members and assign duties as appropriate.
Recommend measures to improve production methods equipment performance and quality of product.
Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of department or crew.
Lead operations team members in maintaining high morale and work standards and build teamwork among the department.
Maintain time and production reports.
Estimate requisition and inspect all job-related materials.
Confer with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
Perform activities of team members supervised as needed.
Prepare labor requirements and always ensure adequate coverage. Schedule move-in and move-out time to eliminate as much overtime as possible.
Ensure team members comply with company policies and adhere to all safety guidelines.
Maintain communication with the Account Executive and the Service Desk and advise of any problems that may affect their operation.
Prepare initial accident reports in accordance with the Risk Management Manual.
Ensure operations equipment is well maintained and that housekeeping meets company standards.
Submit final paperwork to the Operations Director including reports on team member performance shop cooperation and material usage of the show.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Freight Supervisor
Role Summary
It is the responsibility of the Supervisor Freight Operations to supervise the freight operation and all dock labor at the show site at all facilities in which the company produces events. Plans assigned shows including the labor equipment job assignments of qualified labor hours of operation paperwork procedures timekeeping and job cost. Responsible for handling the show site freight operation personally and/or supervision of the freight lead to efficiently perform all assigned duties. Professionally interacts with customers team members and third-party vendor/partner representatives to provide the highest level of service excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise dock labor at the show site by assigning qualified personnel to efficiently perform all duties in accordance with standard practices. Assist in the training of all dock labor.
  • Provide direction to all subordinates to ensure a safe work environment. Conduct safety and service meetings on a regular basis.
  • Interact with the Facility Manager for the assigned show to ensure all facility rules and regulations are adhered to.
  • Determine the needs and request equipment tools and labor required to produce each show event. Ensure the location of all rigging and machinery. Order and supervise all drivers and machine operators and related equipment such as cranes and large capacity forklifts.
  • Communicate with decorating operations and the account executive on the scheduled move in and move out of each show.
  • Work closely with customers throughout the event to ensure quality standards are met. Analyzes and explains invoices to customers and contact exhibitors regarding shortages damages or re-routes on outbound shipment.
  • Project labor and analyze labor using the labor budget tool. Produce accurate payroll forms timecards or timekeeping system for all labor worked on shows.
  • Complete a post-show recap after the show is completed.
  • Ensure job cost is kept to a minimum without sacrificing services to all customers.
  • Ensure all equipment is returned from show site to warehouse.
