Lead Engineer

Milacron is looking for aLead Engineerto join our team in Batavia OH. As a Lead Engineer you will approve mechanical electrical and hydraulic engineering designs analyze sales ordersheetsand change notices for engineering content and impact provide estimates give daily direction to team members and ensure team output meets required cost quality and timing. You will have full engineering ownership of design execution and performance for the product lines.

WorkYoullDo:

• Overall technical ownership ofproductline.

• Responsible and accountable to ensure the Designs meet customer needs.

• Partner withGSM teams to ensure profitability.

• Partner withestimating teams to ensure accuracy of customer requirements.

• Drive continuous improvement and innovation.

• Direct daily operations of assigned engineers setting priorities based on customerneedsand forecasting team capacity/demand.

• Ensure customer requirements are understood and met estimate effort on orders track progress and act as primary technical contact.

• Ensure customer and field issues are resolved with quick containment steps and long-term fixes using formal problem-solving techniques.

• Acquireandretaintalent.

• Conduct regularemployeeone-on-one discussions as well as conduct formal performance reviews.

• Establish goals and expectations and ensure accountability in line with overall organizational goals.

• Work with marketing/product managers to define newoptions andprovide final approval on engineering designs.

• Other duties may be assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in relevant engineering field. Including mechanical electrical plastics engineering technology or related field

• 5 years of progressive engineering experience

• Proven leader

• Experience with Change Management

• General knowledge of plastics processing machinery

• Relevant experience with machine design operationsafetiesand industry standards

• 3D CAD Design

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficient in advanced design methods like DFSS DFMEADFx QFD

• Experienced in various design phases including Development Production and Sustaining

• Familiar with VAVE methods and structured problem-solving approaches like 8D and Six Sigma

• Knowledgeable Windchill Software

• Experienced with Creo Software
