Job Summary

THE ROLE
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager the Procurement Team Lead is:
Responsible for overseeing the purchasing activities of the organization; manage a team of
procurement specialists to ensure that procurement operations align with organizational goals;
develop procurement strategies; negotiate with suppliers and continuously improve
procurement processes for optimal efficiency and cost savings.
PROCUREMENT TEAM LEAD
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor the procurement team to achieve departmental objectives.
- Conduct performance evaluations provide constructive feedback and facilitate
professional development.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Strategic Sourcing:
- Develop and execute strategic procurement plans aligned with organizational goals.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers negotiating contracts and agreements that
ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
Purchasing Operations:
- Oversee day-to-day procurement operations to ensure timely and accurate
purchasing.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations related to
procurement.
Supplier Management:
- Build and maintain relationships to ensure quality pricing and continuity of supply.
- Evaluate supplier performance through metrics and audits addressing issues as
necessary.
- Develop and implement supplier development programs to improve quality and cost
savings.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with other departments (e.g. operations finance) to align procurement
strategies.
- Participate in cross-functional projects to enhance organizational efficiency and
effectiveness.
- Communicate procurement-related initiatives and changes to relevant stakeholders.

drives resolution in a timely fashion
Identifies bottlenecks and works with the business to remove them. Demonstrates
leadership in business improvements. Initiates Change assessing risks and rewards
Strives for continuous improvement; brings solutions and constantly seeks new and
better ways to work.

Experience
Thorough understanding of procurement and supply chain processes.
UKCS asset management & regulatory interface experience
Ideally service and client-side experience.
Likely to have had previous offshore experience
