Position Objective
Ensure financial soundness by meeting all accounting financial and tax obligations in accordance with applicable regulations issued by national authorities (CRE CNH SAT SIPAC INEGI Ministry of Economy).
Guarantee accuracy clarity and transparency in consolidated financial legal and management reporting for the organization particularly in Upstream exploration and production projects.
Profile Requirements
Education:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related field (CPA preferred).
Experience:
Proven experience in the Upstream segment (exploration drilling and production of hydrocarbons).
Strong exposure to international or joint venture projects in the Oil & Gas sector.
Deep understanding of laws and fiscal regulations applicable to the hydrocarbons industry.
Expertise in financial statement consolidation between operator and JV partners.
Management of transfer pricing electronic accounting and fiscal compliance.
Participation in audits and reporting to regulatory authorities (CNH CRE SAT SIPAC).
Proven ability to lead financial and administrative operations within the energy sector.
Technical Knowledge
Regulatory and tax frameworks for Upstream oil & gas operations.
IFRS / NIF standards and Hydrocarbons Income Law.
Experience preparing and filing SIPAC and CNH reports.
Strong knowledge of ERP and accounting systems (SAP Oracle or similar).
Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
Understanding of NOMs NMXs and labor regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee accounting and financial operations for exploration and production blocks.
Consolidate financial data for joint ventures (JVs) ensuring regulatory compliance.
Prepare and deliver accurate financial reports to management and government entities.
Supervise budgeting forecasting and fiscal closing processes.
Ensure timely tax filings and transfer pricing compliance.
Coordinate and respond to internal and external audits.
Implement controls for cost efficiency and regulatory adherence.
Provide financial insights supporting strategic decision-making.
