Vacancy: Quality Assurance Engineer Amsterdam Region
A global leader in standard switching power supplies serving industrial automation telecom LED lighting and various other markets is looking for a motivated Quality Assurance Engineer to strengthen its European Technical Service Team.
Job Description
You will report to the Technical Service Manager and play a key role in the technical operations. Your main duties involve working on power supply units and supporting customers with technical guidance and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform assembly and modifications of power supply units based on specification changes
- Repair defective units returned by customers (RMA)
- Conduct root cause analysis by evaluating user conditions and operational environments
- Maintain accurate repair and failure statistics within the ERP system
- Communicate with customers to resolve user-related technical issues
- Generate reports for Product and Quality teams regarding potential epidemic failures or design concerns
Profile
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Good manual and soldering skills
- Preferably 1 year experience in the power supply industry or similar
- Strong knowledge of electronic components
- Strong communication skills: able to work in virtual teams
- Independent responsible and able to work under pressure to meet repair targets
- Fluent in English: additional European languages are a plus
- Eligible to work in the Netherlands
