Dentons Italy is currently looking to grow its Project Energy and Infrastructure business unit with the appointment of a Trainee based in our Milan office. The successful candidate will work on a wide range of high-profile domestic and cross-border transactions in the energy and infrastructure sectors with a 360 degree approach spanning from project financing M&A project development project contracts to legal due diligence exercise on the full set of energy and infrastructure assets in Italy and abroad.

The Project Energy & Infrastructure business unit is part of the Banking & Finance department and becoming a member of such a team will mean being part of a rapidly growing and dynamic group as well as receiving specific training and being involved in the most innovative legal issues and market prominent transactions. Our clients are medium and large Italian and international companies belonging to different business areas lenders funds investors IPP and contractors.

Key responsibilities
- Assist in advising Italian and international clients on legal due diligence project development project financing M&A and project contracts for energy and infrastructure projects.
- Draft review and negotiate contracts and legal documentation related to energy and infrastructure transactions.
- Conduct due diligence activities and prepare related dd reports.
- Work closely with clients authorities technical and financial advisors as well as international Dentons teams.
- Support the team on project structuring and execution including energy projects (solar wind biogas biomethane hydro hydrogen storage gas etc.) and infrastructure (hospitals highways ports bridges data centers water etc.).
Requirements
- Italian Law Degree with a minimum score of 105/110.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in the field of Project Energy and Infrastructure gained in a comparable law firm.
- High level of English (Certificate C1). Other foreign languages are a plus.
- Vocation and motivation for exercising the legal profession.
- Attention to detail.
- Excellent negotiation and communications skills.
- Global mindset and enthusiasm.
