Foundation Health Partners (FHP) is seeking a Radiation Oncologist to join our highly experienced team at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital.

The Opportunity:

The J. Michael Carroll Cancer Center at Foundation Health Partners is seeking a Radiation Oncologist to lead our radiation oncology service line in a well-supported collaborative environment. As Interior Alaskas only comprehensive cancer program our center provides advanced patient-centered care with modern treatment technology and a dedicated multidisciplinary this role you will work closely with an experienced Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioner oncology-certified nursing staff and our broader medical oncology and surgical teams to deliver high-quality evidence-based radiation therapy to patients across the region. This is an opportunity to practice autonomously while contributing to a tight-knit mission-driven program committed to expanding access and supporting patients through every step of their cancer journey.

  • Compensation: Competitive base salary with additional wRVU production bonuses. $65k sign-on bonus.
  • Schedule: Full-time M-F. Mix of consultation/clinic time treatment planning chart rounds and on-treatment assessments.
  • Patients: Manage a diverse caseload of oncology patients requiring external beam radiation therapy including breast lung prostate GI head and neck hematologic malignancies and palliative cases. Patient Volume I can get this from Jacque or Haley if theyre aware.
  • Team: 1 Radiation Oncologist (new hire will serve as the lead/solo physician) 1 Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioner oncology-certified nurses oncology techs and medical support specialists.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Graduate of an approved school of medicine with licensure in state where he/she practices.

Board Eligible/Board Certified by appropriate certifying board. Current DEA number.

Must apply for and maintain Medical Staff membership and clinical privileges at appropriate facilities if required by Physicians employment agreement. Requires commitment to healthcare and concern for people in distress critical listening skills and ability to communicate clearly desire to work with all types of people and work as a team member and excellent interpersonal skills. Able to meet desired business outcomes while maintaining quality of care. Must be willing to update skills constantly.

Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
