About the role:
Reporting to the Senior Engineer Supervisor Projects the Project Engineer or EIT leads projects from scoping and planning through execution supporting safe and efficient delivery at site. This role works closely with colleagues across technical services operations and external contractors to ensure alignment and successful outcomes.
To be successful we are looking for someone with strong communication skills proven leadership problem-solving and organizational skills. For someone who can build effective relationships across teams and departments.

In this role you will:

    • Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
    • Develop and manage project plans budgets and schedules across the portfolio
    • Lead and support project transitions into operations including readiness planning commissioning and start-up
    • Execute mining plant environmental and tailings projects in coordination with contractors and internal departments
    • Collaborate with operational teams to ensure alignment and engagement throughout the project lifecycle
    • Gather and analyze information to support sound decision-making and continuous improvement

Requirements:

    • Bachelors degree in Civil Mechanical Chemical or related Engineering discipline (or equivalent experience and certification)
    • Registered or eligible for registration with Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC)
    • Minimum of three years of project experience including design construction and commissioning
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel PowerPoint Word)
    • Experience in project frameworks cost control team alignment and contractor coordination is an asset
    • Experience in mining or heavy industry is an asset
    • Valid Class 5 Drivers License or equivalent
$106000 - $131000 a year
The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidates relevant experience skills and competencies and considers internal equity.
