What Youll Be Doing


As the Business Analyst you will be joining CIBCs Infrastructure Project Delivery team with a focus on business analysis impacting Operations (Retail Account Services Client Account Management and Capital Markets and Wealth Management Operations). You will be responsible for all aspects of business requirements supporting project delivery and contributing to transformational projects enabling the delivery of Infrastructure strategies which impact internal stakeholders and our CIBC partners. You will act with urgency while exploring innovative ideas to deliver solutions that exceed client expectations. Please note that we are looking for a candidate with experience in business analysis within Capital Markets/Wealth Management.

Youll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where youll spend 1-3 days per week on-site while other days will be remote. This is subject to change based on business and project requirements.

How Youll Succeed

  • Understanding and Documenting Requirements:Facilitate elicitation sessions with Business teams Suppliers and Technology partners to identify and document Business Requirements aligned to the Project scope Business objectives and benefits. Conduct Feasibility assessments to identify most optimum solutions and cost/benefit. Utilize standard Business Analysis methodologies to create Business Requirements artifacts and facilitate signoffs from stakeholders and sponsors.
  • Conducting process assessments:Apply Process design best practices to accurately document both Current and Future state processes and data flows. Perform ongoing reviews to identify issues early on and create efficient processes with a best-in-class client experience.
  • Communication:Youll use your powers of communication and consultation to speak to requirements issues risks and solutions with influence. Your solid interpersonal skills are a must for collaborating with stakeholders product owners team members and/or external parties.
  • Leadership skills:Maintain a collaborative work environment and support your team to resolve problems as they arise. Lead and/or support People Change management activities including applying best practices in assessing change and creating appropriate learning material or procedure updates.
  • Familiarity with Testing Methodologies:Co-ordinate user acceptance testing including creation of test cases test data and execution of testing. Ensure test results are documented and approved by stakeholders.

  • You can demonstrate experience and are proficient in requirements and workflow analysis. Its an asset if you are certified (IIAB PMI-PBACBAP) and experience in Agile Project Delivery.
