Job Summary

Job Summary:

Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with company and airworthiness requirements to provide aircraft serviceability as per schedule and ensure high dispatch reliability.

KeyResponsibilities:

  • Responsible for all work carried out and certified by Certifying staff on the aircraft under the scope of authorization privilege and to ensure that all statutory regulations regarding airworthiness of the aircraft and company requirements are met.
  • Ensuring that he is aware of all Akasa Air operating procedures and fully understand all quality and technical reporting systems.
  • To ensure that inspection and any other work done is carried out as per approved methods employing standard airworthiness practices and compliance of rules and regulations enforced by the DGCA.
  • Ensure all maintenance and defect rectification in the line maintenance including sub-contracted maintenance are carried out in accordance with the current AMM. e) Ensure appropriate CRS is issued after satisfactory completion of all maintenance during day-to-day line operation.
  • To ensure all work sheets inspection schedules and maintenance records pertaining to the work are properly completed certified and preserved in accordance with the civil airworthiness requirements.
  • Ensure proper documentation / label is available for all components installed/removed.
  • Responsible for ensuring data entry is carried out in AMOS upon completion of every task.
  • To ensure that tools and equipment used during maintenance are in serviceable condition and bears calibration certificate wherever applicable. To report defective equipment or tools for necessary rectification.
  • Ensure all parts/spares taken from the store are recorded as required. k) Ensure a high level of work quality and productivity of each staff.
  • Ensuring that all inter-changeability of components is confirmed through reference to the IPC applicability and or other relevant approved documentation
  • Implement safety policy human factors issue in maintenance undertaken
  • To ensure and monitor that necessary maintenance documentation is raised controlled and cleared in accordance with approved procedures prior to releasing aircraft to service. Report occurrence / incident / significant defect / any un-airworthy condition in line environment involving aircraft / maintenance personnel to Shift In-Charge/LMM/MCC.
  • Ensure knowledge of processes defined in Line Maintenance Procedures Manual relevant to current position and compliance of same.
  • Being smart and tidy in appearance so reflecting Akasa Air image.
  • In case of Certifying Mechanic/Junior AME shall discharge the functions of technician as per station requirement.
  • Any other responsibility as assigned


Required Skills and Experience:

  • Should have a company Full scope authorization in B1 category on Boeing737-8/8200 aircraft
  • Understanding of Aviation regulations CAR 145 and its application on aircraft operation and Maintenance.
  • Knowledge of Quality Systems
  • Should not have been transferred to any location in the last 2 years

Good to have:

Management & communication (Written and verbal) skills

Educational Qualification: AME License in Cat B2 issued by DGCA INDIA
