Job Description The Data Scientist for the Office of the Provost at Radford University will lead data-driven initiatives to optimize student success career readiness and institutional effectiveness. This role involves managing and integrating data from platforms like the RU Data Warehouse Assessments Handshake Banner Raisers Edge Internbridge Hanover and Lightcast developing systematic data collection plans and creating actionable insights through advanced analytics and visualization tools such as Python SQL Snowflake Power BI Tableau etc. The idea candidate will possess strong project management skills experience with data warehousing and a deep understanding of database management. The ideal candidate will also need strong problem solving and communication skills. They will collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate data reporting and support the strategic goals of the university particularly in tracking and enhancing student engagement and experiential learning outcomes as well as supporting the Curriculum Lifecycle and the Strategic Plan. Reporting to the Director of Institutional Effectiveness this position will also be responsible for benchmarking equitable student access and participation with the ability to compare metrics with the Commonwealth and national data. |
Required Qualifications Masters degree required in Data Science Statistics Computer Science or related field. Must be a current Radford University employee to apply. |
