About the role
The Tire Technician is responsible for overseeing all activity within the production/tire department. They ensure shop safety guidelines are followed with tire and wheel mount and balance tools and equipment.
What youll do
- Properly mount/balance new tires on rims per company specifications
- Break down and remove boxes/debris from workstation
- Keep workstations stocked with tire and wheel inventory and supplies
- Perform inspections of completed work to ensure completion and quality
- Follow safety procedures
- Ability to mount balance package tires and wheels
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 years in tire/automotive production
- Knowledge of mounting balancing and tools/machine
- Able to lift 75 lbs.
Physical Demands:
Standing Walking Reaching/Bending Endurance Balancing/Mobility Manual Dexterity Exposure to varying conditions Repetitive Motion Lifting to 50 lbs. consistently safety equipment loud noises: 8-hour work shift
