Heres What You Need
Masters degree in nursing (MSN) Required
Other appropriate clinical licensure for discipline Upon Hire Required (Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire)
Two (2) years direct patient care (RN) experience Required (acute care hospital experience prefer Critical Care or Med/Surg RN background)
Five (5) years current hospital experience Required
RN Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required
BCLS Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required
Interpersonal skills collaboration and negotiation skills and excellent organizational skills.
CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days Required
Other CNL or other professional nursing certification 12 Months Required
SSLP - Six Sigma Lean Professional Upon Hire Preferred
What You Will Do
Collaborates with physicians and/or APRN for services needed as well as all with other allied health care providers
Partners with physicians by engaging in rounding to discuss priority of patients and patient care needs
Assimilates and applies research-based information to design implement and evaluate patients plans of care
Facilitates the integration of multiple disciplines to achieve highest and optimal patient outcomes
Assists with optimizing throughput and discharge facilitation
Reviews critical documentation to ensure excellent outcomes
Initiates a culture of collaboration on the clinical floors
Advocates and negotiates within the health care system to meet the needs of the patient
Provides direct patient careas needed.
Participates in interprofessional rounds leading when appropriate
Collaborates with care transitions team to facilitate discharges RCB measures review of excess days and patient throughput
Serves as an educator for patients/family members as well as provides staff development opportunities
Utilizes Change Management tools to lead important change initiatives
Participates in/leads process improvements/projects to enhance all KPI outcomes
Optimizes clinical KPI and RCB metrics educating physicians staff as needed for compliance
Facilitates the development implementation monitoring and assessment of processes that impact patient outcomes
Uses benchmark data from internal and external sources to identify opportunities for improvement of care and patient safety
Identifies and takes action to resolve ineffective processes in collaboration with staff and other disciplines
Supports the dissemination of outcomes information
Incorporates the quality caring model in daily nursing decisions
Participates in shared decision making by participating in councils as requested by nursing leadership
Promotes safe workplace and patient safety initiatives by role modeling use of high reliability organization error prevention tools
Completes ongoing personal development based on self-appraisal peer feedback and professional goal setting
Basic computer skills EPIC/Care Connect Excel and Power Point
