Software Engineer–Developer (Associate or Experienced)

The Boeing Company is looking for Software Engineer Developer (Associate or Experienced)to join the Vertical Lift Division in Ridley Park PA. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) Software Engineering organization.

In this role the engineer will have the opportunity to develop high-quality software solutions that drive innovative projects forward. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams they will contribute to the delivery of robust and scalable products that meet the needs of clients. Additionally the engineer will play a key role in the testing process ensuring that deliverables adhere to the highest standards of quality and performance. Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate and Experienced Level Software Engineers.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Position Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with teams to understand software requirements and design objectives

• Propose design and implement software solutions

• Develop document and maintain software architectures requirements designs code and automated tests

• Participate in code reviews and design discussions contributing to continuous improvement

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

• 2 or more years of professional experience with C C C# Python Java or Ada

• 1 or more years of experience with Agile software development lifecycle

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology) chemistry physics mathematics data science or computer science

• Ability to Obtain U.S. Secret Security Clearance Final Post-Start

• Level 3: 3 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines

• Ability to research and solve fundamental problems

• Experience leading complex software projects

• Skills in developing documenting and maintaining software architectures code designs and automated tests

• Ability to break down functional requirements into well-defined tasks

• Willingness to learn new skills through on-the-job training and experience
