Job Summary

Job Responsibilities

The Dean of Nursing provides visionary leadership and administrative oversight for the Nursing Division. This role ensures the design implementation and evaluation of high-quality nursing programs that meet accreditation standards regulatory requirements and the evolving needs of students and the healthcare community. The Dean manages faculty curriculum resources and operations while fostering a culture of teaching excellence professional development and student success. This role will have the opportunity to lead course and divisional improvement projects guide faculty and staff and work collaboratively to enhance our divisions effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the design implementation and evaluation of the nursing curriculum; monitor enrollment trends; ensure effective scheduling of classes labs and clinical sites; and recommend new or revised programs as needed.
  • Prepare and manage the divisional budget; maintain equipment inventories; and approve expenditures to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Recruit hire and evaluate faculty and staff; promote instructional excellence; and ensure timely performance evaluations and professional development.
  • Oversee academic advising and registration; address and resolve student concerns; and support retention and completion initiatives.
  • Maintain high standards of teaching; lead efforts to improve student learning outcomes; and teach courses within area of expertise as needed.
  • Encourage faculty development; represent the College on committees; and strengthen partnerships with healthcare and community organizations.
  • Direct divisional activities consistent with accreditation and regulatory requirements; align operations with the Colleges Strategic Plan; and assist the Vice President for Academic Affairs with related duties.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

This position requires a masters degree in nursing from an accredited college or university a minimum of (3) three years of progressively responsible related work/teaching experience as a nurse educator in a nationally accredited RN nursing program; a current SC RN licensure or the ability to obtain reciprocity.

Preferred Qualifications

The ideal candidate understands associate degree nursing programs and college policies including accreditation course scheduling registration and student advisement.

This position will assist with RN-BSN articulation agreements implement nursing curricula in line with TTC procedures and showcase your creativity and professional discipline.
