Work Schedule & Coverage
- MondayFriday with flexible hours
- On-call rotation:
- Typically one weekday and every seventh weekend
- Schedule may be modified as needed to ensure adequate coverage

What Youll Do in This Role:
The Clinical Shift Supervisor (CSS) supports the Director of Nursing (DON) in leading clinical operations ensuring residents receive safe effective and person-centered care.
Primary Responsibilities:
Clinical Oversight & Quality Assurance:
- Assess and respond to daily clinical needs as directed by DON/ADON
- Conduct frequent purposeful rounding to ensure high-quality clinical care (MBWA)
- Monitor resident clinical conditions and care outcomes (e.g. wound care medications labs weights documentation) and intervene as appropriate
- Complete audits and chart reviews as directed by DON/ADON
Communication & Coordination:
- Monitor communication channels regularly (voicemail email PCC direct contacts) to remain informed and responsive
- Participate in daily morning meetings with completed follow-up from the prior day or provide applicable updates
- Attend additional meetings assigned by the DON
Policy Procedure & Documentation:
- Review update and provide education on policies and procedures as directed by DON/ADON
- Support team performance through routine evaluations participation in onboarding and documentation of progressive discipline
Customer Service:
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing
What Youll Need:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure in the State of Michigan.
- Current CPR certification or BLS certification required or willing to obtain.
- Previous experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care environment.
- Position requires the ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 35 pounds without assistance.
- Knowledge and experience in Skilled Nursing Facility clinical operations or other appropriate health care setting preferred.
- Experience with LARA / CMS annual certification survey preferred.
