Job Summary
Job Summary
Provides direct and indirect patient care within the Medical/Surgical setting ensuring safe timely and effective nursing interventions. Communicates with physicians nursing leadership and co-workers regarding changes in a patients condition diagnostic results and symptoms. Responds promptly and accurately to fluctuations in patient status and treatment response. Responsible for initiating the computerized Plan of Care upon admission and performing general nursing duties across departments with appropriate supervision.
Note: Specific departments may require additional qualifications certifications or competencies. These may be obtained through the appropriate HR representative.

Qualifications
Education
-
Required: Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing. Evidence of continuing education appropriate to skill level and practice area. Current active RN license; BLS ACLS and PALS required. Specialty-specific certifications preferred (e.g. IV certification CPI).

Experience

Physical Requirements
Must be able to:

Lift up to 50 lbs. frequently; handle objects up to 25 lbs. regularly.

Continuous walking and standing.

Ability to identify and distinguish colors.

Rare lifting over 50 lbs.
