Your New Role
As an Underwriter you will play a key role in supporting the development and delivery of new business and retention strategies across the Commercial Direct portfolio. You will provide technical underwriting services and solutions that drive growth and retention within Guilds targeted markets.
What youll be doing
- Underwrite new business and renewal opportunities assessing risks and recommending terms conditions and pricing
- Maintain high underwriting standards within delegated authority limits
- Support the delivery of underwriting and product strategies aligned to Guilds strategic plan
- Collaborate with specialist functions and internal teams to maximise performance outcomes
- Assist in managing team workloads to meet service level agreements
- Contribute to projects and other duties as assigned
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies

Who would this opportunity suit
Youve built a solid foundation through your experience perhaps in claims customer service or account management but we welcome interest from anyone whos keen to bring their skills and enthusiasm to the role. You are familiar with general insurance underwriting and ready to deepen your knowledge across professional indemnity commercial and domestic property general liability directors and officers liability and general business insurance. You may already hold relevant ANZIIF or RG146 Tier 2 qualifications or be ready to begin your studies.
