The role:
Join the passionate team at Southpaws as we expand our 24-hour dedicated emergency pet hospital in Malvern East. We recognise that emergencies dont adhere to a schedule and thats why were eager to welcome skilled Emergency and Critical Care (ECC) Veterinarians to our dynamic team.
Our emergency hospital is staffed 24 hours a day 365 days a year ensuring that our ECC Veterinarians have the opportunity to make a significant impact in the critical moments of a pets life.
Whether youre a seasoned professional or a recent graduate eager to dive into ECC we invite all passionate veterinarians to join our dynamic team.
We have a commitment and the structures to ensure our team members continue to advance their clinical skills and understanding as well as benefit from exposure to our specialist facilities technology procedures and training.
- 50% Days and 50% Nights
- 1:3 weekend overnights
- Achieve great work-life balance in a structured role that supports personal and professional development
- Rostered training time with senior time/day shifts working with exposure to our specialist teams
- Bi-weekly didactic sessions including Journal club presentations and lectures
- 4 Weeks A/L plus 1 Week Study Leave
- $1500 CE allowance

- You must hold a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) or equivalent have a minimum of 3 years work experience and be eligible for registration to practice in VIC Australia.
