• High School Diploma GED or formal educational equivalent successful completion of PCT course within three (3) months of hire.
• Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification (CPR).

Knowledge Skills & Abilities:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and staff.
• Basic computer skills and general knowledge of office machines including printers fax machines and scanners.
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology.
• Ability to maintain a clean and organized clinical environment.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in recording patient information.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced clinical setting.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and supporting the healthcare team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Two (2) years of work experience in a clinic hospital or physicians office.

Additional Information:

Key Responsibilities:

• Obtains the patients height weight blood pressure pulse temperature respirations and chief complaint and records the data in the EMR.
• Assists patients to laboratory and radiology for diagnostic testing.
• Collects laboratory specimens as ordered by physician.
• Performs EKGs as ordered by physicians.
• Sets up equipment for testing or treatment that is to be performed by the Licensed Practical Nurse or a Provider.
• Assist physicians with procedures i.e. pelvic exams and minor surgical procedures including but not limited to removal of ingrown toenails removal of skin lesions and closure of minor lacerations.
• Schedule follow up appointments as ordered by the Provider or per standing orders.
• Schedule referral appointments as ordered by the Provider.
• Enter orders for labs referrals and testing as ordered by the Provider.
• Supervises the maintenance and cleaning of medical equipment.
• Cleans rinses packages and utilizes the autoclave to sterilize instruments.
• Performs extension of benefits for patients with Medicare insurance as needed.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
