Job Summary
Job Title: Dietitian Clinical Nutrition
Location: Brooklyn NY
Duration: 10 Weeks (Approx. 59 Days)
Shift: MondayFriday 9:00 AM 5:00 PM (30-minute break)

Position Overview
A healthcare facility in Brooklyn NY is seeking a qualified Clinical Dietitian for a short-term coverage assignment. This role supports the Clinical Nutrition department by providing comprehensive nutrition assessments interventions and patient-centered education. The Dietitian will cover an FTE leave of absence and must be able to step into the role with minimal orientation.
Assignment Details
9-week coverage for an LOA
MF schedule 9:00 AM5:00 PM
One weekend per month required
Acute Care experience is mandatory
No recent interns due to limited training time
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Nutrition or related field
Completion of an ADA-approved internship
CDR Registration required (Registered Dietitian)
NYS Certification (CDN) Certified Dietitian/Nutritionist
6 months1 year minimum experience (Acute Care required)
Strong knowledge of clinical nutrition and patient nutritional needs
Ability to function independently with minimal onboarding
Excellent communication documentation and patient-education skills
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments for diverse patient populations
Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans
Provide evidence-based dietary counseling and patient/family education
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including nursing and providers
Monitor and evaluate patient progress adjusting care plans as needed
Document all assessments and interventions accurately and timely
Participate in assigned weekend rotation as scheduled
