Opera is continuously seeking talented and ambitious Senior Frontend Developers to join our teams shaping the future of AI-powered browsing. This role is for exceptional engineers with deep technical expertise in modern frontend development and architecture. Youll contribute to next-generation AI-enhanced user experiences across Operas products building interfaces that are fast intuitive intelligent and used globally at massive scale.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Design and build advanced frontend features for AI-powered and AI-enhanced browser experiences.
- Integrate AI-assisted development workflows across the entire frontend lifecycle from prototyping to optimization.
- Drive frontend evolution with a focus on scalability performance maintainability and architectural integrity.
- Collaborate across teams (backend design product) to deliver seamless and polished user experiences.
- Mentor other developers encourage innovation and contribute to the continuous improvement of tools workflows and engineering practices.
Job Requirements:
- 5 years of experience in frontend development with modern JavaScript (ES6) HTML and CSS plus strong knowledge of frameworks like React Vue or Svelte.
- Proven ability to design and implement scalable performant and accessible frontend architectures.
- Hands-on experience with AI tools including prompt engineering refining AI-generated code and demonstrating measurable productivity or quality improvements.
- Strong backend integration skills (RESTful APIs WebSockets) and expertise in frontend performance optimization and best practices.
- A strong record of collaboration innovation and technical excellence in modern frontend engineering.
