Job Overview:

The end-client is looking for a highly skilled QA Engineer with strong experience in manual testing automation frameworks and API validation.
The ideal candidate will work closely with developers business analysts and product teams to ensure high-quality releases across multiple environments.
This role includes accessibility testing Agile collaboration SQL validations and automation development using Java.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance & Testing
Design write and execute manual and automated test cases.
Develop detailed test plans test strategies and test reports.
Perform functional UAT SIT regression performance accessibility (ADA) and post-deployment testing.
Execute API testing using Postman REST Client or similar tools.
Manage test data creation preparation and validation.
Analyze requirements and user stories in Azure DevOps and develop reusable test cases (positive negative boundary).
Identify document and track defects using Azure DevOps.
Run performance/load tests using JMeter or LoadRunner.
Validate data using SQL queries across Oracle or SQL Server environments.

Automation Skills:

Develop automation scripts using Java and frameworks like Playwright Selenium or Cypress.
Write Gherkin (Given/When/Then) test scenarios and implement Step Definitions in Java.
Maintain version control using Git (branches merges pull requests).
Work as an active team member within Agile/Scrum processes.
Collaborate with developers BAs and cross-functional teams.
Communicate test results risks and defects clearly and proactively.

Security & Compliance:

Apply secure development lifecycle concepts (SADLC) during testing.

Required Skills:

Strong manual and automation testing experience.
Proficiency in Java API testing tools SQL queries and accessibility testing.
Experience working in multi-environment pipelines (DEV UAT QAT PRE-PROD).
Strong communication and analytical skills.
Willingness to work onsite in Lansing twice weekly.

Nice to Have:

Azure DevOps Test Plans experience.
Mobile testing (iOS/Android).
Playwright for Java automation.
Eclipse IDE Selenium WebDriver background.
TestNG framework experience.
API testing using RESTAssured or APIRequestContext.
