The Opportunity
We are looking for a highly strategic and results-driven Generative AI Leader to be based in our Atlanta this pivotal role you will be responsible for leading our largest and most critical Generative AI program from conception to enterprise-wide deployment. You will architect our GenAI strategy build and mentor a world-class team and partner with C-level executives to create tangible groundbreaking value. Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Vision:
  • Define and own the enterprise-wide Generative AI strategy and roadmap aligning it with key business objectives.
  • Identify and prioritize high-impact use cases across various business functions (e.g. operations marketing software development customer service).
  • Evangelize the potential of Generative AI to executive leadership stakeholders and the broader organization.
Large-Scale Program Management:
  • Lead the end-to-end execution of our flagship Generative AI program ensuring it is delivered on time within scope and on budget.
  • Establish robust governance risk management and performance measurement frameworks for all GenAI initiatives.
  • Manage complex dependencies across multiple teams technologies and business units.
Technical Oversight & Innovation:
  • Provide technical direction for the architecture development and deployment of scalable and secure GenAI solutions (e.g. LLMs Multimodal models RAG systems).
  • Stay at the forefront of GenAI research and emerging technologies evaluating and integrating new tools and methodologies.
  • Champion best practices in MLOps/LLMOps model evaluation fine-tuning and responsible AI.
Team Building & Talent Development:
  • Build mentor and lead a high-performing multi-disciplinary team of AI/ML engineers data scientists and prompt engineers in Atlanta.
  • Foster a culture of innovation collaboration and continuous learning.
  • Act as a key attractor for top AI talent to the Atlanta region.
Stakeholder Management & Collaboration:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for GenAI initiatives effectively communicating progress challenges and results to C-level executives and business partners.
  • Collaborate closely with product engineering legal security and compliance teams to ensure responsible and ethical AI development and deployment.
Qualifications & Experience Required:
  • 10 years of progressive experience in AI/ML with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing large cross-functional teams.
  • Proven track record of leading and delivering a large-scale enterprise-wide AI/Generative AI program with measurable business impact (e.g. significant revenue growth cost savings or productivity gains).
  • Deep technical expertise in Generative AI concepts including Large Language Models (LLMs) vector databases prompt engineering fine-tuning and AI governance.
  • Strong hands-on experience with cloud AI platforms (AWS SageMaker Google Vertex AI Azure ML) and modern MLOps/LLMOps practices.
  • Exceptional program management skills with the ability to manage multi-million dollar budgets and complex project timelines.
  • Outstanding communication and storytelling skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for executive audiences.
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Data Science Engineering or a related quantitative field.
Preferred:
  • Experience building an AI/ML team from the ground up in a strategic location.
  • Published research or thought leadership in the AI/ML space (blogs conferences whitepapers).
  • Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in a relevant field.
  • Demonstrated commitment to Responsible AI principles (Fairness Explainability Robustness Transparency).
