Job position description: We are searching for a compassionate and dedicated Psychiatrist to join our Behavioral Health this role you will provide clinical leadership in a CMHC/FQHC setting. This includes evaluation and treatment of people served by the organization. You will provide clinical consultation and/or supervision for clinicians providing behavioral health services. This role collaborates with Primary Care Dental Optometry and Pharmacy services to provide holistic integrated care. Join to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those we serve.
Key Tasks And Responsibilities - Provides clinical services to persons within scope of practice according to evidence-based clinical practice.
- Works with Executive Director of Behavioral Health to meet quality improvement goals for the organization.
- Provides clinical consultation to other clinicians involved in care of patients served by the organization.
- Collaborates effectively with Primary Care Dental Optometry and Pharmacy Services to assure the health and wellness of patients.
- Participates as a treatment team leader when necessary.
- Participates in after-hours coverage for patients or serves in an on-call rotation with other providers.
- Participate in peer review and review of sentinel events as necessary.
- Documents all clinical contacts within 5 business days or less according to accreditation and other regulatory requirements.
- Follows all laws and regulations involving the prescribing of psychiatric medications.
- Provides Medication Assisted Treatment following the MAT Policy and Procedures of the organization according to federal and state regulations.
- Provides Collaborative Practice supervision with Advanced Practice Nurses as necessary and back-up for other psychiatrists with Collaborative Practice Agreements.

- Collaborates with a team of health professionals providing clinical leadership in behavioral health.
- Understands behavioral health resources referral sources and maintains a positive relationship.
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries clients and co-workers.
Degree And Licensure Requirements - M.D. or D.O. from an accredited institution who has completed an approved residency program.
- Board Eligible or is Board Certified in Neurology and Psychiatry; Child and Adolescent Psychiatry; Addictions; Forensic or other psychiatric field of practice.
- Must be licensed to practice in Missouri have active BNDD and DEA certification.
- Must have successfully completed an approved residency program in the field of psychiatry.
