Help Us Connect Engage and Inspire Our Community!

Were seeking a dynamic and outgoing Outreach Assistant to support the team in expanding its reach across Prince Georges County. This role is ideal for someone who loves engaging with the public promoting health and wellness and being part of a mission-driven team. The position is part-time with varying hours a week with some evenings weekends and holidays required.

Examples of Important Duties

  • Represent the Get Fit Mobile unit at parks events playgrounds and community centers.
  • Promote upcoming wellness programs distribute flyers and engage with the public.
  • Assist with setting up and supporting health education and fitness activities.
  • Capture attendance and participant feedback during outreach visits.
  • Maintain positive relationships with community members camp staff and program participants.
  • Help document events through photos video and short social media clips (optional but encouraged).

Minimum Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Excellent people skills and a friendly energetic personality.
  • Interest in health fitness or community engagement.
  • Ability to work outdoors and on your feet for extended periods.
  • Reliable transportation and a flexible schedule.
  • Social media experience or content creation is a plus.
  • Minimum age requirement is 18 years or older.

Supplemental Information

May be subject to medical drug and alcohol testing.

This position is Seasonal/part-time and is not eligible for benefits.

Must successfully pass a complete background investigation prior to hire.
