Description

As aMechanical Design Engineer Ihere at Honeywell you will be a key contributor to the design and development of innovative mechanical solutions. Your strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and methodologies will ensure that the products developed under your guidance meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.

You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and youll work out of our Mason OH location on a Hybrid work schedule.

In this role you will impact the development of mechanical systems and components that enhance the performance and efficiency of our products contributing to the overall success of Honeywells mission.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in the mechanical design process from concept to production.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet mechanical requirements and specifications.
  • Design and develop mechanical systems components and assemblies.

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science technology engineering mathematics.
  • 1 years of experience in mechanical design and development.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and other design tools.
  • Familiarity with mechanical analysis and simulation tools.
  • Experience with GD&T and other drafting standards.

  • Advanced Engineering degrees like ME (Mechanical Engineering).
  • Experience in product testing validation and documentation.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes.

THE BUSINESS UNIT

Mechanical Systems & Components provides a wide range of mechanical products and value-adding services to Honeywell Aerospace customers including aircraft manufacturers and operators and agencies of the U.S. government. The business develops and manufactures air and thermal systems mechanical components and wheels and braking systems. It also manages and operates facilities for the Federal government. Every 5 seconds an aircraft lands with Honeywell Wheels and brakes. The entire fleet of U.S military fighters and trainers use Honeywell Cabin Pressure Systems.
