The Aerospace Corporation is hiring a Software Process and Architecture Grad Intern for the Software Engineering Subdivision (SES) in the Information Systems and Cyber Division (ISCD). This position will be full-time 100% onsite at our office in El Segundo CA.
Job Summary
Information Systems and Cyber Division (ISCD) staff couple the latest in information system technologies such as elastic compute clouds containerization microservices real-time operating systems and visualization frameworks with expertise in cyber security software architecture software engineering data science Artificial Intelligence process improvement and software development to deliver responsive resilient high-performance software intensive systems to our IC DoD and civilian customers.
The qualified candidate will become part of the Software Process Modeling and Measurement Department and responsible for the following.
What Youll Be Doing
Provide software development effort to a variety of software centric projects
Participateswith an interdisciplinary team in ongoing research or technical programs with academic collaboration partners
Applies standard techniques and procedures to carry out a series of prescribed scientific and/or engineering tasks

What You Need To Be Successful
Currently enrolled full-time at an accredited college/university degree program pursuing a masters degree in Computer Science Industrial Engineering Computer Engineering Electrical Engineering or related program
Availability to work full-time for a minimum of 10 weeks outside of university term and ability to return to a degree program full-time after completion of the internship.
Undergrad degree completed by start of internship
Excellent problem-solving skills
Hands-on expertise with application design software development and automated testing
Experienced in two or more common programming languages such as Java C/C and Python
Use of AI/ML tools in phases of software development
This role requires the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance which is issued by the U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance
Academic transcripts are required
How You Can Stand Out
GPAof3.5 or higher
Experience in full-stack software development
Experience in model-based software engineering
Experience in software project management or software development processes including agile software development
Experience in distributed systems and/or cloud native application development
