The role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Creative Manager to join our Marketing and Business Development team in our London office.
This role leads Simmons & Simmons in-house creative team - covering design audio video and motion graphics - to deliver impactful high-quality creative across flagship global campaigns and everyday brand activity.
As both a creative manager and a practicing designer youll balance hands-on design with strategic leadership. Youll drive the creative vision inspire fresh ideas and ensure the team delivers on-brand best in class design that elevates how Simmons & Simmons is seen by its clients stakeholders communities and colleagues around the world.
Were looking for someone who can connect business strategy with visual storytelling - someone as comfortable generating concepts for a global campaign as refining typography on a social title. The ability to engage stakeholders at all levels manage the team workload and provide mentorship to colleagues is highly valued.

What will you do:
Lead mentor and develop the creative team fostering a collaborative ideas-driven culture.
Help drive the creative direction for flagship global campaigns and brand storytelling initiatives.
Translate business objectives and marketing strategies into compelling creative concepts and deliverables.
Partner closely with senior stakeholders campaign leads and the head of marketing and communications to ensure creative outputs align with firm-wide goals and brand strategy.
Champion creative excellence and innovation across the global network - inspiring consistency curiosity and continuous improvement.
Represent the creative function in planning meetings offering creative input from concept to delivery.
Oversee and refine design workflows project planning and resource allocation to ensure efficiency and quality.
Build and maintain trusted relationships with external creative agencies freelancers and production partners.
Design and deliver high-quality creative for digital and print including web and social assets.
Develop creative solutions that balance conceptual flair with clarity and accuracy.
Collaborate with the rest of the creative team as well as our digital team to ensure visuals work cohesively across all platforms and channels.
Maintaining an expert level understanding of the Simmons & Simmons brand visual identity and tone.
Stay at the forefront of design and technology trends particularly in digital animation AI and immersive formats such as VR/AR.
What we are looking for:
Degree or qualification in graphic design.
At least five years experience working within a fast-paced high frequency corporate design agency professional business environment or running your own company.
Proven experience in a senior creative role.
Knowledge and experience of layout design graphic design fundamentals and typography.
Proficient in Creative Cloud packages particularly InDesign Illustrator Photoshop and After Effects.
Interested in future digital design opportunities such as VR and AI.
Strong working knowledge of print and digital design to liaise with printers and web developers.
The ability to lead projects from concept to completion.
Able to work on PC and Mac.
Strong leadership and culture building qualities.
Confident in communicating and presenting key messages.
Organised with strong attention to detail.
Creative in approach and idea generation while being delivery focused.
Solutions focused: always finding the right solution to a challenge.
Excellent project management skills: able to multi task.

Career Level:
The career level assigned to this role is level 4. The career level framework provides a formal structure for the business services functions at the firm. The framework which ranges from level 1 to level 7 clearly defines the responsibilities skills and competencies required at each level.
