Job Summary
About the Role
We are seeking a Crystallization Scientist to join our team and contribute to the development of crystallization processes for pharmaceutical and chemical products. This role offers hands-on laboratory work problem-solving and collaboration in a dynamic environment.
What Youll Do
- Design and perform laboratory experiments to support crystallization process development including solubility screening kinetic solubility and metastable zone width measurements.
- Conduct small-scale crystallization experiments and analyze results.
- Generate solid-state characterization data using powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD).
- Analyze product samples for physical properties such as particle size distribution and shape using optical microscopy and laser diffraction.
- Assist with technical initiatives including the design installation and maintenance of specialized lab equipment.
- Maintain accurate records in electronic laboratory notebooks and manage data using relational databases and spreadsheets.
Qualifications :
What Were Looking For
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Chemistry Chemical Engineering Materials Science or related field.
- Hands-on experience with crystallization techniques and solid-state characterization.
- Strong computer skills and familiarity with relational databases and complex spreadsheets.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Position is Monday- Friday 8:00 AM- 5:00PM. Overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Groton CT are encouraged to apply.
